Refunds, Returns & Radical Transparency
We hope you love everything you order from She Zine Mag, whether it’s a zine that made you cry in a good way, a tee that says “I’m with the riot grrrls,” or one of our handmade kits that took three days and a whole pot of coffee to assemble.
But we get it: sometimes things arrive wrong, damaged, or just not what you expected. Here’s our full Refunds & Returns Policy, laid out clearly and honestly—because we believe in transparency, mutual respect, and fixing things when they go sideways.
What Can Be Returned or Refunded?
We currently offer returns, refunds, or exchanges under the following conditions:
✅ Defective or Damaged Items
If something arrives damaged (e.g., crushed zine, misprinted shirt, exploded glitter), or there’s a quality issue with your item, we’ll gladly replace it or offer a refund.
You must contact us within 30 days of receiving your order.
✅ Incorrect Orders
If we made a mistake and sent you the wrong item (oops—our bad), we’ll cover return shipping and make it right ASAP.
✅ “Change of Heart”
We’re a small, independent publication, not Amazon. If you ordered something and later decided you don’t want it we can refund it for you, but there will be a $10 restocking fee regardless of the product.
What Cannot Be Returned or Refunded?
❌ Digital Products
All digital downloads—such as e-zines, templates, workshop PDFs, and printable guides—are final sale. Once you hit download, we can’t un-download it from your brain (or your desktop).
❌ Sale Items
Clearance, discounted, or limited-run items are final sale, unless they arrive damaged.
Refund Timeline & Process

Email us at shop@shezinemag.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and (if applicable) a photo.

We’ll respond within 3–5 business days with next steps.

If your refund is approved, it will be issued back to your original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank.
For replacements or exchanges, we’ll confirm shipping details and send the corrected item as quickly as possible.
Shipping Costs for Returns

If the return is due to an error on our part (wrong item, defect, etc.), we’ll cover the return shipping.

If it’s a non-defective return and we approve an exception, you’ll be responsible for return shipping, and the item must arrive in unused, original condition.
We’re not liable for returns lost in transit, so please track your package if you’re mailing something back.
Lost or Delayed Orders
Once a package leaves our hands and is passed off to the shipping carrier, it’s technically out of our control—but we’ll do everything we can to help.

If your order still hasn’t shown up, send us an email with your order number and we’ll investigate. We don’t offer refunds on lost orders unless a package is marked undeliverable and returned to us.
